CallRail calls in your clients' SEO reports

CallRail connects to RankUpside by webhook. Point a CallRail post-call webhook at the client's RankUpside lead URL, and each call arrives with its landing page, source and duration. Calls from search count as search leads; Business Profile calls stay separate. A won deal with the same phone number within 120 days links to the call.

What it doesn't do: RankUpside stores no recordings, transcripts or full phone numbers. It doesn't pull from CallRail's API; CallRail posts each call to us.

The client site's key rides in the URL, because CallRail's webhook settings take a URL only.

Set it up.

Three steps per client. CallRail's menu names are as its help center shows them on Oct 22, 2026. Webhook

  1. Step 1: Copy the CallRail webhook URL

In RankUpside, open the client's settings, then Leads & revenue › Call tracking › CallRail, and copy the lead webhook URL. Replace rk_… with the client site's full key (shown once when the key was made; make a new one under Connect revenue if you lost it), and keep the finished URL private.
  2. Step 2: Add it as a post-call webhook in CallRail

In CallRail, open the Integrations page and the Webhooks integration, paste the URL into the post-call webhook field and save. CallRail then posts each completed call.
  3. Step 3: Place a test call

Place a test call (or create a test lead in CallRail) and check that it appears in the client's calls and leads table in RankUpside. Send test lead inside RankUpside checks the import step only, not the CallRail connection.

Search calls vs map-pack calls.

Calls whose source names the Business Profile or Maps are kept as Business Profile calls, apart from search leads, so the map pack never inflates SEO. Paid and social calls count in the client's totals but aren't credited to a page.

CallRail questions.

How do I connect CallRail to RankUpside?
Copy the CallRail lead webhook URL from the client's settings in RankUpside, then add it as a post-call webhook in CallRail. Paste the client site's full key into the URL; no header is needed. Place a test call to confirm it arrives.
Which CallRail calls count as SEO leads?
Calls whose source is organic search, with the landing page the caller saw. Calls from the Business Profile or Maps stay separate. Paid and social calls count in totals but aren't credited to a page.
Does RankUpside store call recordings or phone numbers?
No recordings or transcripts. Phone numbers are stored only as salted hashes, plus the last two digits so your team can tell calls apart.
How are calls matched to won deals?
When a won deal comes in with the same phone number or email, closed on or after the call and within 120 days, it links to that call. That shows a path from search to a sale; it doesn't prove which search caused it.
What if CallRail sends the same call twice?
It updates the existing call instead of adding a second one.
