A monthly SEO report compares this month with last month and the same month last year, then explains the change. Include clicks, impressions, average position and buyer clicks, a three-month trend, positions for the searches that matter, the cause of each change, work done, and the fixes planned for next month. What it doesn't do: RankUpside reports in rolling four-week windows that update every Wednesday, not calendar months, and its report doesn't show year-over-year. Fill the year-over-year row from Search Console; RankUpside keeps about 16 months of history.
Nine sections shaped around a monthly meeting. The badges mark what RankUpside fills; it works in rolling four-week windows, so the year-over-year row and your notes stay manual.
Example Search clicks rose 14% to 289, and buyer clicks rose from 22 to 27.
02
This month vs last monthRankUpside fills this

One row with the same figures for the same dates a year ago, pulled from Search Console. Skip it for a site younger than a year.
04
Three-month trendRankUpside fills this
A weekly chart of clicks or buyer clicks over the last 13 weeks, so the client sees the direction, not one month.
Example Buyer clicks per week, 13 weeks, peak 13.
05
Keyword positionsRankUpside fills this

06

08
Next month's fixesRankUpside fills this
Three to five fixes in order, each with the page and what not to touch.

Automate the monthly report.
The report link always shows the latest four weeks. Download the PDF the day before the meeting and add your notes. Starts with one read-only Google sign-in. No card.
A one-sentence summary, this month against last month, the same month last year, a three-month trend, positions for the searches that matter, the cause of each change, work done with results, and next month's fixes.
Should I compare calendar months or four-week periods?
Four-week periods compare more fairly, because each has the same number of each weekday. Calendar months differ in length and weekends. Whichever you use, print the exact dates on the report.
How do I build a keyword ranking report?
Pick the 10 to 20 searches that bring buyers. Show the average position from Search Console, clicks and impressions for each. Add the live rank, map pack and AI Overview status where you have a live check, since average position blends every location and device.
How long does a monthly SEO report take to make?
Done by hand from Search Console, most of the time goes into pulling numbers and explaining changes. RankUpside rebuilds the report every Wednesday with the causes and fixes written, so the monthly work is reviewing it and adding your notes.
Can I send the monthly report as a PDF?
Yes. Every RankUpside report has a Download PDF button with your agency's letterhead on each page.
